A Study On Communication Practice Of Knowledge-based Community In New Media Environment

With the constant changes of new media environment,various online knowledge communities have kept emerging.With the help of the forms such as WeChat and mobile App,there are more and more content producers and consumers gathering in such online knowledge communities,and the contents cover all fields because of available new types of knowledge spreading modes such as online live streaming and pay knowledge.However,based on the convenience of such online knowledge communities,knowledge-based communities,with knowledge spreading and services as their main purposes,have more extensive spreading ranges and stronger spreading effects.In addition,their knowledge spreading modes have displayed fresh features and ways unlike those of conventional knowledge spreading with the help of online knowledge communities as new media.Such new-type knowledge-based communities perfectly cater to some learners and educators who have high demands on spiritual and cultural life.They are willing to pay for knowledge and spend time and energy to realize life-time and crossover learning.Based on their learning interests and expertise,some of them have developed into the organizers and spreaders of knowledge-based communities,and some of them have developed into the learners of knowledge-based communities to achieve favorable interactions of knowledge spreading with the aid of online knowledge communities as platforms as well as various spreading channels such as WeChat and offline activities.In the paper,"ethnography" was chosen as the main research method and the knowledge-based communities "Plan-C" was chosen as the case for research to investigate the practical features for knowledge spreading of knowledge-based communities by means of interventional observation perspectives.The paper is composed of six chapters.Chapter I:Introduction,which introduces the research background,research significance,research issues and research methods.Chapter ? isLiterature review and concept interpretation.Existing theoretical research results are summarized in the chapter,as well as the conceptual analysis of knowledge communities and knowledge-based communities.Due to the development of knowledge communities,present knowledge-based communities have new spreading modes and methods.Chapter ? is about the investigations on the community mode of Plan-C to analyze its two aspects,namely its community elements and community operation mechanism.Chapter ? is about the investigation of the knowledge spreading practices of Plan-C to specifically explore the spreading activities made by Plan-C for improving community viscosity as well as the significance of knowledge dissemination to the community.Chapter ? is about the investigation on the derivation of Plan-C from knowledge spreading to commonweal spreading to review the application practices of critical thinking with the voluntary commonweal actions of Plan-C members.Chapter ? is a summary of the propagation characteristics and values of the knowledge spreading practices for Plan-C.And discuss the impacts of such spreading mode on lifelong learning,traditional education and publishing industry as well as relevant references.
