In recent years,with the continuous development of science and technology,UAV gradually shifted from military use to civilian areas and play an increasingly important role.By carrying different imaging sensors,UAV can not only adapt to the complex environment well,but also capture the rich scene information.We check the high and ultrahigh voltage transmission lines using UAV can not only reduce waste of human resources,but also keep the video information to the subsequent analysis and processing.In order to obtain more comprehensive and rich scene information,UAV multi-sensor image fusion technology fuse the infrared and visible images combined with their imaging characteristics.This integrate the complementary information making the fused image clearer and more comprehensive content and lay the foundation for further target recognition.I put forward a kind of image fusion algorithm which is suitable for the UAV line inspection,according to the characteristics of infrared image and visible light image combined with potential problems of transmission line.The algorithm is broadly divided into three steps: pretreatment,registration and fusion.Firstly,we choose different pretreatment methods for infrared image and visible image.Infrared image is a special kind of gray image,we take the way of adding contrast to the image processing in order to highlight the target of interest in line inspection process.Visible image is a rich image of detail information,we use the method of increasing the chroma and brightness to pre process it in order toreduce the impact of the lack of light.Secondly,we register the infrared image and visible image.which have been processed in advance.We used an improved surf registration algorithm for registration.The running speed of the algorithm is not much difference between before and after improvement,but the improved registration algorithm has higher stability.Finally,we fused images based on the theory Laplasse image decomposition.We take the larger value to the high frequency part and the ?weighted fusion method to low frequency part after using Laplasse to decompose infrared image and visible light image.Fusion time is about 50 ms and the fused image can preserve the complementary information of the two images completely by using this fusion algorithm.
