Utilizing inorganic materials and polymers as polymeric composites are a hot topic in polymer composite research in recent years.BN has been applied in the area of polymeric composites for preparing the high performance of BN-composite materials because of its excellent physic-chemical properties such as anticorrosion performance,high temperature resistance etc.The superior performances of composites are closely related to the dispersion and interfacial interaction with polymers of BN.The interaction between untreated BN fillers and the polymer matrix is weak due to surface inertia,which limits to develop their properties.So the surface modification of BN is the key to display their excellent performances.In the paper,we take on the surface modification of BN,and prepare the superior properties of BN/EP composite coatings.In addition,we research the effect of the BN/EP composite coatings in corrosion resistance via the different modified methods.Therefore,the functionalized boron nitride,adding the functionalized boron nitride into the epoxy matrix and corrosion resistance of the BN/EP composite coatings are studied from the following three aspects:(1)Introducing the epoxy groups on the surface of boron nitride through the dopamine,and prepare the h-BN-KH560/epoxy composite coatings as well as study the effect of surface grafting on the corrosion resistance of epoxy composite coatings.The results indicate that surface grafting KH560 can improve the interfacial adherence between the h-BN and epoxy resin as well as dispersion of h-BN in epoxy resin,which reinforce the anticorrosion performance of epoxy composite coatings.(2)Hyperbranched-polymer grafts on the surface of the h-BN for preparing h-BN-HBP,and epoxy composite coatings are successfully prepared,and their corrosion resistance are investigated.The results show that hyperbranched modified boron nitride can enhance the interaction adherence between h-BN and epoxy resin matrix,thus enhancing the compatibility and dispersion of h-BN in epoxy resin matrix,so as to improve the corrosion resistance of h-BN/epoxy composite coatings.(3)Utilizing h-BN as a support templates due to its lamellar structure,the Fe3O4 particles fix on the surface of the h-BN through the bridging role of dopamine and prepare h-BN-Fe3O4/epoxy composite coatings.The results show that the h-BN as a template supporting can effectively reduce the aggregation of Fe3O4.Moreover,h-BN-Fe3O4 has a synergistic effect for the resistance of epoxy coatings which is attributed to connect the superior properties of h-BN and Fe3O4.Therefore,we use the three hybrid materials as inorganic materials adding into epoxy resin matrix,respectively.The composite coatings are prepared by spraying and curing process.The dispersion of h-BN-KH560,h-BN-HBP and h-BN-Fe3O4 are measured by SEM in epoxy resin matrix.And the results indicate that the functionalized h-BN obtain a well dispersibility and interfacial adherence than the untreated h-BN in epoxy resin.In addition,utilizing the EIS measurement evaluate the anticorrosion performances of these epoxy composite coatings,and using SEM observe the morphologies of coated electrodes before and after immersion,high temperature high voltage test and salt spray test.The results show that addition of small amounts of h-BN-KH560,h-BN-HBP and h-BN-Fe3O4 significantly enhance the corrosion resistance of epoxy coatings.
