PDC composite plate is an important part of PDC bit and super-hard composite tool,whose performance will directly influence the working life of those tools.However,up to this date,there is no universal standard evaluation method for performance of PDC by the manufacturer.The main evaluation experiment methods include PDC cutting with granite trough,rotating rod impacting method,weight impact method and transform impact work drop ball impact method and so on.In this paper,the acoustic emission technology was used to analyze the performance of PDC composite of AE parameters by uniaxial compression test and some results were obtained.The following is the main contents of this article:(1)The static compression test method of PDC composite was designed by referring to the related literature.The experimental method with performance of PDC composite by Surface Observation Method after compression and impact tests were used in recent years Research of performance of PDC by compression and impact process were not much.In this study,we use AE technology to analyze the AE signals of PDC composite which by compression process and impact process.The performance of PDC composite plate is described.(2)A better AE signal of the PDC composite obtained based on wavelet analysis.A lot of noise signals were produced in the compression process of PDC,and those singles belongs to the second type of acoustic emission source signal,which is more susceptible to interference.Therefore,the original signal is decomposed by wavelet,and the AE signals of PDC were described by appropriate detail coefficient,and most of the noise signals were eliminated.(3)We found a good experimental method of the performance of PDC based on different loading methods.Due to the structural characteristics of PDC,the AE parameters were compared by different loading methods(single loading,cyclic loading and diameter loading).,the best loading method is diameter cyclic loading The signal of the diameter load is the best;the signal of cyclic load is better;the signal of diameter load is very bad.(4)It is proved that the AE characteristic parameters in the static load compression test can be used as a parameter to evaluate the performance of PDC based on drop-hammer test.In this paper,we discussed the varieties of experiment method about the PDC performance by AE technology.We find the AE characteristic parameters to evaluate the PDC performance.These experiment’s result lay the foundation for further experiment.
