Marine anammox,as a branch of Anammox, has been paid much attention since it was discovered. It has some good advantages and prospects for the treatment of high salinity wastewater. In this paper, the nitrogen removal characteristics and dynamic characteristics of marine anammox reactor were studied:The effect of temperature on nitrogen removal performance of marine anaerobic ammonium oxidizing bacteria processing sewage seawater was studied by employing an ASBR reactor, and the dynamic characteristics of the marine anaerobic ammonium oxidizing bacteria in different temperatures were simulated by modified Logistic model. The experimental results indicated that the nitrogen removal performance was affected little at 25~35?.The total nitrogen removal efficiency(TNRE)remained at(82±2)% and the total nitrogen removal rate(TNRR)was stabilized at(0.62±0.01)kg·(m3·d)-1.When the temperature was 20?,TNRE from the beginning of 59% up to 79% after 13 days. This indicated that the marine anammox bacteria still has strong ability of nitrogen removal, the reactor in the low temperature treatment of sewage containing seawater has a good potential. However, when the temperature dropped to 10~15?,nitrogen removal performance of the reactor was inhibited.TNREs were decreased to(40±8)% and(11±4)%,respectively.Besides,TNRRs also decreased to(0.30±0.04)kg·(m3·d)-1and(0.08±0.03)kg·(m3·d)-1,respectively.According to the Arrhenius equation, the activation energy for marine anaerobic ammonium oxidation reaction was 26kJ·mol-1 at 25~35?,and the activation energy of marine anaerobic ammonium oxidation reaction was 76 kJ·mol-1 at 10~25?.In addition, dynamic analysis was performed by Logistic model and the NRE and effluent total nitrogen concentration(ceff)were forecasted under different temperatures. The correlation coefficient R2 was between 0.9668 and 0.9957.The effect of pH shock on nitrogen removal performance of marine anaerobic ammonium oxidizing bacteria(MAAOB)treating saline wastewater was studied by employing an ASBR reactor.Dynamic characteristics of MAAOB were simulated by Andrew model and Ratkowsky model. The results indicated that the reactor had the best nitrogen removal efficiency when pH value was 7-8.The nitrogen removal rate(NRR)was(0.30±0.04)kg·(m3·d)-1,and the total nitrogen removal rate(TNRE)was(76.73±5.74)%.When pH value was 8.5,the mean concentration of FA was 14.22mg·L-1,and it had little effect on nitrogen removal.NRR was(0.30±0.02)kg·(m3·d)-1.However,NO2--N was accumulated and it was not completely removed. When pH value was 6.5 and 9,the concentrations of FA were 0.22 mg·L-1 and 37.84 mg·L-1,respectively.NRR were(0.10±0.02)and(0.15±0.02)kg·(m3·d)-1,respectively.Besides,TNRE were(23.04±9.88)% and(42.12±5.52)%,respectively.The tolerance of MAAOB in alkaline condition was stronger than that in acidic condition.Andrewmodel was modified and the relationship between NRR and FA could be acquired.Other parameters such as NRRmax,ks and kI could also be achieved simultaneously. This is key to describe nitrogen removal process of MAAOB.The ASBR reactor, the effect of ammonia and nitrite concentration on marine anammox nitrogen removal by changing the concentration of single substrate, and its kinetic characteristics were studied simultaneously. The results indicated that when the concentration of ammonia increased to 1200 mg·L-1,marine anammox reactors still maintain good nitrogen removal capability. It has no obvious inhibitory effect. At the same time, the removal rate of nitrite nitrogen was stable at about 80.70%.When the concentration of nitrite increased to 265.6 mg·L-1,the reactor was inhibited obviously, the removal rate of ammonia nitrogen decreased to about 63.01%.When the influent nitrite concentration continued to increase to 305.6 mg·L-1,the removal rate of ammonia nitrogen further decreased to 43.93%.Using Haldane model and Aiba model to simulate the kinetic characteristics of the inhibitions of ammonia nitrogen and nitrite nitrogen. We obtained three parameters such as NRRmax,Ks,Ki and the relationship between the effluent substrate concentration and total nitrogen loading(TNRR).According to the further analysis indicated that the Haldane model is more suitable to describe the dynamic characteristics of the inhibitory effect of NH4+-N and the Aiba model is more suitable to describe the dynamic characteristics of the inhibition of NO2--N.Then the effluent inhibitory concentrations of NH4+-N and NO2--N were 3898.63 mg·L-1 and 287.21 mg·L-1 respectively. These results provided a theoretical basis for the treatment of wastewater containing seawater by marine anaerobic ammonium oxidizing bacteria.
