Synthesis, Structure And Properties Of Cyclohexanediamine-salicylidene Rare Earth Complexes

Salen type lanthanide complexes are currently of great interest not only because of their fascinating variety of structures but also their potential applications in the fields of luminescence,magnetism and catalysis.In this paper,nine two-dimensional salen-type lanthanide complexes were successfully synthesized by the reaction of substituted N,N'-bis?salicylidene?-1,2-cyclohexanediamine and Ln?NO₃?₃·6H₂O?Ln=Ce,Pr,Nd,Tb,Ho,Er,Yb?.The single crystals of these complexes were obtained by using facile solution diffusion?SD?method and were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction.The luminescence and catalytic properties of these complexes were investigated and discussed.The results listed as following:A series of two-dimensional complexes[Ln₂?H₂L¹?₃?NO₃?₆][Ln=Tb?1?,Ce?2?,Pr?3?,Nd?4?,Ho?5?,Er?6?,Yb?7?]were synthesized by the reaction of H₂L¹and Ln?NO₃?₃·6H₂O?Ln=Ce,Pr,Nd,Tb,Ho,Er,Yb?.The two-dimensional complexes[Pr?H₂L²?_1.5?NO₃?₃]?8?and[Pr?H₂L³?_1.5?NO₃?₃]?9?were obtained by reacting Pr?NO₃?₃·6H₂O with H₂L² and H₂L³ respectively.Ni/Ce-H₂L¹ was acquired by the reaction of Ni?NO₃?₂·6H₂O and complex 2.A highly strong metal-support interaction and dispersed CeO₂ supported Ni catalyst?Ni/CeO₂-1?was synthesized via coordination-assisted strategy.This catalyst exhibits much higher catalytic activity for hydrogenation of nitrobenzene than the traditional CeO₂ supported Ni catalyst?Ni/CeO₂-0?.The complexes 3-9 show near infrared luminescence.Ni/Ce-MOF was prepared by the reaction of Ni?NO₃?₂·6H₂O and Ce-MOF.Ni/CeO₂-2 was synthesized via coordination-assisted strategy.The catalytic activity of Ni/CeO₂-2 in nitrobenzene reduction was explored.
