With the acceleration of the industrialization process of the world,such pollution as vehicle exhaust and industrial exhaust gas had cased global deterioration of the air environment,which has seriously threatened to humans' health.The air pollution in most provinces of China has become more and more serious in recent years,and solid particles are the main pollutants which affect the air quality.According to the world health organization,millions of people worldwide die from air pollution prematurely every year.The survey found that inhaling contaminated air could lead to the worsening of chronic respiratory diseases,lowering the metabolism of human cells,and then accelerating the ageing of the body,meanwhile it's also an important cause of some cancers.Therefore,it is very important to purify air.Owing to the small fiber diameter,large surface area and high porosity,nonwoven becomes an excellent air filtration material.Because of its high filtration efficiency,low resistance,light in weight,large capacity,environmental protection and moderate cost,it represents the main development direction of filter materials in the future.In this paper,we combined PBT curly short fibers and traditional polypropylene melt-blown fibers by means of intercalating,so that adding unique advantages of high rigidity and elasticity of PBT fiber into the traditional melt filter material,as a result getting a new air filtration material with high porosity,loose structure,three-dimensional structure,low density,high compressibility and high elastic recovery.In this paper,FLUENT software was used to simulate hot airflow,intercalating airflow,and net bottom suction airflow.The attenuation of velocity and temperature of high speed air in the air flow field and the influence of intercalating airflow and net bottom suction airflow on airflow field were observed,the influence of different pressure and temperature on melt drafting was analyzed.Some experimental parameters were guided by simulation,and the workload of the experiment was greatly reduced.In this paper,the influence of DCD and hot air pressure on fiber fineness,thickness,compression elasticity,strength,permeability,filtration efficiency and resistance were discussed.The influence of intercalating air and net bottom suction wind on filtration performance were investigated.The study and development of intercalating melt-blown nonwoven material will not only play a positive role in the prevention and control of air pollution,but also can promote the rich and development of the variety of the non-woven filter materials.
