Noise is one of the important pollution in people’s daily life.The middle and low frequency noise is difficult to be blocked by the wall and the wall board because of the long wavelength and the penetration is strong,so it is difficult to control the indoor noise.Textiles have been used as noise reduction materials in construction,automotive and other industries for its performance of porous,light and easy processing.In this investigation,two yarns of different types were used to weave the fabrics with plain weave,twill and honeycomb structure weaved with the same warp and employed as the sample for acoustical measurement.The sound absorption and insulation properties of fabrics with different texture were measured with acoustical detecting platform based on impedance tube.Firstly,by the testing methods and evaluation methods of the sound absorption and sound insulation of textile materials.In order to characterize the effect of the noise absorption of different fabric samples,the frequency of sound absorption and insulation characteristic curve integral textile acoustic performance evaluation method is put forward.With sound absorption and sound insulation curve integral area numerical integral curve after area values as the evaluation index,which studies the noise reduction effect of different structure of woven fabrics in low frequency noise the effects of structure factors on textile fabric.In order to construct the noise reduction performance of fiber based high sound absorption products,polyester fiber woven fabrics based design of fabric composite structure.The results show that the ability of sound absorption and isolation of these weaved fabrics was not enhanced with the increase of thickness and surface density.With the same thickness and surface density,the fabrics with the plain structure have the best capability of sound absorption and isolation.And the acoustical performance of fabrics weaved with odd-shaped cross section fibers were better than that weaved with common fibers.In addition,by the method of combining the fabric with the aluminum film,the sound absorption and sound insulation effect of the material was greatly improved,especially the sound insulation.
