| Bast fibers have advantageous features such as high specific tensile strength and modulus,light-weight,easy for planting,and easily degradable.These advantages make bast fiber great potential in the field of fiber reinforced composites.In view of the fact that the kenaf fiber instability is affected by external conditions such as planting conditions and harvest months,and also the properties of the fibers and fiber-reinforced composites depend on the microstructure and the chemical composition of the fibers.In this study,the growth region,soil type and harvest months were discussed based on the mechanical properties of fiber,surface structure and release of volatile organic compounds.Two factors remarkable analysis was carried out by seeing growth region,soil type and harvest months as influence factors,kenaf fiber performance as dependent variables.Besides,the gray relational analysis between the microstructure parameters,the content of chemical constituents and the macroscopic performance parameters of kenaf fibers was calculated.At last,the Back Propagation neural network was used to predicting the kenaf fiber tensile strength.This study will provide a useful reference for the selection of raw materials and kenaf fibers planting.The experimental results show that the growth region has significant influence on the strength of the process fiber,the content of water soluble matter and the content of hemicellulose.Harvest months has a significant effect on the kraft fiber strength,surface friction coefficient,water-soluble and hemicellulose content of kenaf fiber.Soil type had a significant effect on the water soluble content,hemicellulose content and lignin content of kenaf fiber.The correlation degree of cellulose and bundle fiber tensile strength is 0.75,followed by hemicellulose 0.66,degree of orientation 0.64,degree of crystallinity 0.63.The correlation degree of degree of orientation and single fiber tensile strength is 0.71,followed by crystallinity 0.69,hemicellulose 0.66,lignin 0.66.The correlations between cellulose and moisture regain,surface friction coefficient,volatile organic compounds release and interfacial bonding strength were large,which were 0.72,0.71,0.69 and 0.73 respectively.Kenaf fiber tensile strength can be effectively predicted by the Back Propagation neural network based on kenaf fiber microstructure parameters and chemical composition. |
