Liu's Pediatric Massage Combined With Jiao's Scalp Acupuncture For The Treatment Of Children With Mild Mental Retardation And Cerebral Palsy

Objective:To observe the effect of intelligence development about the Liu’s pediatric massage combined with the Jiao’s scalp acupuncture for the cerebral palsy children with mild mental retardation, and provide scientific evidence for the application of these treatment for the cerebral palsy children.Methods: Eighty children of cerebral palsy with mild mental retardation were randomized into the treatment group(40 cases) and the control group(40 cases). The basic treatment and the Liu’s pediatric massage combined with the Jiao’s scalp acupuncture were applied in the treatment group. The basic treatment and the conventional massage combined with the Jiao’s scalp acupuncture were performed in the control group. They were given six times per week, four weeks as one session, at the interval of 7 days between two sessions, totally three sessions in both group.Before treatment and after three sessions of treatment, GDDS,BSID and GMFM were adopted for the rehabilitation assessment.Results:1.The development quotients of GDDS: The social adaptive, major movement, fine motion, language and personal social activation function about the cerebral palsy children compared before treatment with after treatment were significantly different(P<0.05). After treatment, the social adaptive, major movement, fine motion, language and personal social activation function about the cerebral palsy children in the treatment group were significantly different as compared with those in the control group(P < 0.05), which illustrated that the development of the quotients of the cerebral palsy children in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group.2.The index of the intelligence and sport about BSID: The intelligence coarse points, index and sport coarse points, index of BSID about the cerebral palsy children compared the prior treatment to the post treatment were significantly different(P<0.05). The intelligence coarse points, index and sport coarse points, index of BSID about the cerebral palsy children in the treatment group were significantly different as compared with those in the control group(P < 0.05) after treatment, which illustrated that in terms of the development of the intelligence and sport function, thetreatment group were higher than the control group.3.GMFM:The clinostatasm, rolling over, siting, climb, kneeing, stand, walk, run,jump about the cerebral palsy children compared the prior treatment to the post treatment were significantly different(P<0.05). The clinostatasm, rolling over,siting,climb, kneeing about the cerebral palsy children in the treatment group were significantly different as compared with those in the control group(P<0.05), while the stand, walk, run, jump about the cerebral palsy children in the treatment group were not significantly different as compared with those in the control group(P > 0.05), which illustrated that the GMFM function in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group.4.Clinical effects: The total effective rate of the treatment group was 94.12% andthat of the treatment group with 80.56%, which showed statistic significant(P<0.05),and also illustrated that in terms of the clinical effects, the treatment group werehigher than the control group.Conclusion:1. Liu’s pediatric massage combined with the Jiao’s acupuncture for the treatmentof conventional massage combined with the Jiao’s acupuncture can improve the DQ,social adaptive, major movement, fine motion, language, personal social activationfunction, intelligence, sport, clinostatasm, rolling over, siting, climb, kneeing, stand,walk, run, jump of cerebral palsy children with mild mental retardation. And thetreatment of Liu’s pediatric massage combined with the Jiao’s acupuncture wassuperior to the treatment of conventional massage combined with Jiao’s acupuncturein terms of the DQ, social adaptive, major movement, fine motion, language andpersonal social activation function, intelligence, sport, clinostatasm, rolling over,siting,climb, kneeing of cerebral palsy children with mild mental retardation.2.The treatment of Liu’s infantile massage cooperating with acupuncture of Jiaoshican improve the intelligence and clinical symptom of the cerebral palsy children withmild mental retardation to enhance rehabilitation effect and improve the quality of lifeand survival. The curative effect is exact to provide the thought for the treatment ofchildren with cerebral palsy, which is worthy of clinical application.
