The Characteristics Of TCM Syndrome Classification Of IBS Overlap FD And The Effect Of Eradication Of Hp On IBS Overlap FD

Background:The overlap of IBS and FD is more and more in clinic.Overlapping patients have more serious clinical symptoms than IBS or FD and expend more medic al resources. So, more clinical research should be done about it. The etiology and p athogenesis of overlap is not fully clear now. But there is a lot of evidence to show that overlap is interconnected closely with many factors, such as psychological factors, brain-gut axis and braingut petide, visceral hypersensitivity, gastrointestinal dysmotilit, and so on. Nevertheless, H. pylori infection maybe one of the factors, need more cli nical evidence. Clinical study shows that Hp infection rates of FD is higher than nor mal. There are many clinical trials have confirmed that the eradication of Hp is benef icial for FD. The relationship, between Hp and IBS is also need to be proven. The research on traditional Chinese Medicine of IBS and FD focuses on the etiology and pathogenesis. There is almost no research on TCM Syndrome typing.Objective:This research concentrates on the TCM Syndrome typing of the overla p between IBS and FD under the guidance of the theory of traditional Chinese Medic ine, explores the relationship between Hp and the overlap of IBS and FD.Methods:Surveying the patients by questionnaires with IBS-SSS, FD-QOL,HAD a nd the TCM syndrome classification scale. Before being brought into the investigatio n and after eradication of Hp.Results:(1) The infection rate of Hp in patients with IBS overlap FD was 89.13%.The su ccess rate of Hp eradication, in patients with IBS overlap FD was 86.49%.(2) Among all of patients in group,74.60%have abdominal pain symptoms,and 76. 19% have abdominal distension symptoms. After the eradication of Hp,abdominal pai n, abdominal distension, defecation, and quality of life have all been improved.(3) Among all of patients in group,30.16% have the symptoms of diarrhea, and 19.05% have the symptoms of constipation.76.19% have abdominal pain symptoms d uring defecation.77.78% have non shaped stool.(4) Among all of patients in group,after the eradication of Hp, symptom decrease d in each field.(5) Among all of patients in group,22.22% are in anxious state, and 26.98% are in depressive state.(6) Among all of patients in group, the TCM Syndrome typing of IBS overlap F D can be divided into 7 types, include Spleen deficiency and dampness(15.87%); Live r-depression and Spleen-deficiency Syndrome(12.70%); Syndrome of incoordination bet ween liver and spleen(stomach)(19.05%); Syndrome of dampness-heat of spleen and s tomach(intestines)(19.05%); Syndrome of dryness-heat of stomach and intestines.(11.1 1%); Syndrome of yang deficiency of spleen and kidney(stomach)(4.76%); Cold-heat c omplicated syndrome(17.46%).
