| ObjectiveMale infertility is a common disease in the andrological clinic.According to the survey,the couples at childbearing age who have the infertile problem occupy 10%-15%in our country,whose incidence rate increase continually due to the influence of various physical and chemical factors,iatrogenic factors and unhealthy lifestyles.Semen quality test is the main method to understand the male fertility.Compared with sperm concentration and sperm motility,sperm morphology can play a better role in predicting pregnancy.Western medicine doesn’t have a clear recognition and definitive therapy to the etiology and pathogenesis of teratozoospermia.In the long-term clinical practice,Professor Jia Yusen summarized that the causes of teratospermia are kidney deficiency and damp heat through statistical analysis of infertility cases and the solution is kidney dampness detoxification and cuscuta rehmanniae decoction in clinical treatment.In this study,cuscuta rehmanniae decoction was used to treat teratospermia and compared with the blank control group.And the percentage of normal sperm morphology and multiple sperm defective index(TZI,SDI)were analyzed statistically in two groups of patients after 12 weeks of treatment so as to evaluate the curative effect of cuscuta rehmanniae decoction on teratospermia,providing a basis for treating terotospermia through traditional Chinese medicine.MethodFrom September 2015 to March 2017 in male urological clinic of Oriental Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine,the semen morphology of infertility patients were analyzed.74 patients in accordance with inclusion standard were selected by sydrome differentiation and were divided into drug treatment group(62)and blank control group(12).The percentage of normal sperm morphology and multiple sperm defective index(TZI,SDI)of the two groups before and after treatment were analyzed statistically after 12 weeks of treatment.Using SPSS 20 software,t-test or non-parameter test was used according to normal distribution and homogeneity of variance test and P<0.05 has statistical meaning.Drug treatment group:the basic recipe of kidney dampness detoxification is as follows:Radix rehmanniae 15g,Cornus 12g,Dioscoreae 12g,Poria 15g,Paeonol 12g,Alisma 9g,Phellodendron 9g,Astragalu,20g,Atractylodes 15g,Cuscuta 9g,Ligustrum lucidum 12g,Complanti 12g,Epimedium 9g,Plantago 12g,Raspberry 12g,Dioscorea tokoro 9g,Lonicera Japanica 9g,Oldenlandia 12g and modified accoding to symptom.One decoction a day,divided to 2 times at morning and night for 12 weeks.Blank control group:only life adjustment without drug treatment,observing 12 weeks.ResultsIn this study,there are 70 effective cases,in which the treatment group make up 60 cases(2 cases drop off)and the blank group make up 10 cases(2 cases drop off).Treatment outcome:the drug treatment group cured 24 cases successfully,3 cases were cured obviously,11 cases effectively cured and 22 were falled,the total efficiency of which is 63.3%.Control blank group cured 0 cases successfully,0 cases were cured obviously,2 cases were effectively and 8 cases falled,the total efficiency of which is 20%.The observation index were improved significantly(P<0.05)compare before and after the drag treatment.and the percentage of normal sperm morphology doesn’t have obvious improvement(P>0.05),but TZI and SDI have huge difference compared with before in the blank control.There exists obvious difference in curative effect by the chi-square testing of two groups.According to the classification of normal sperm motility and abnormal groups in drug treatment group,it can be found that the sperm morphology of two group were improved significantly after treatment(P<0.05)which didn’t have difference before treatment(P>0.05).According to the value of normal sperm morphology,the drug treatment group can be divided into 1%group,2%group and 3%group.It can be observed that the sperm morphology of three groups were improved significantly after treatment(P<0.05),but in the three groups there were no significant difference before treatment(P>0.05).ConclusionIt can improve the percentage of sperm morphology and reduce multiple sperm defective index(TZI and SDI)by using cuscuta rehmanniae decoction,which is not relevant to the cure of initial sperm motility and sperm morphology damage.For patients with abnormal sperm,the sperm morphology may have some self-healing nature and multiple sperm defect index(TZI and SDI)can be more sensitive to changes in reacting sperm morphology compared with the normal sperm percentage. |
