| Objective: To investigate effect of the Shu Mu acupuncture point massage combined with auricular plaster therapy on constipation symptoms and quality of life in patients with constipation after stroke,provides a scientific and effective method for clinical nursing staff to care for patients with constipation after stroke.Methods: According to the diagnostic and inclusion criteria of stroke,90 patients with constipation after stroke were randomly divided into test group(44 cases)and control group(46 cases).Under the premise of giving the same routine treatment and nursing,control group were treated with auricular plaster therapy for the treatment of constipation,test group were added with Shu Mu acupuncture point massage on the basis of the control group.In Shu Mu acupuncture point massage each acupuncture point was massaged or pushed 5 minutes,massage 2 times each day,6 days for a course of treatment,rest 1 day in the end of a course,lasted for 3 courses;in auricular plaster therapy each acupuncture point was pressed 60 s,pressed 3 times each day,every other day replace in the other ear alternately,10 times for a course of treatment,lasted for 2 courses.Before and after clinical trials,constipation symptoms rating scale and quality of life in patients with constipation scale were used to assess the relief degree of constipation symptoms and the quality of life in patients with constipation after stroke.Results:1.Comparison of clinical symptom score of constipation(1)Within each group,compare the patients’ clinical symptom score of constipation in the two groups:In the test group,the total and each sub item’s score in the clinical symptom scale of constipation after intervention were significantly different than that before the intervention(P < 0.05);the comparison result of the scores in the control group were the same as the test group.(2)Between the two groups,compare the patients’ clinical symptom score of constipation in the two groups: The total and each sub item’s score in the clinical symptom scale of constipation after intervention in the test group were significantly different than that of the control group(P < 0.05).2.Comparison of PAC-QOL scores(1)Within each group,compare the patients’ PAC-QOL scores in the two groups: In the test group,the PAC-QOL scores of patients after intervention were significantly different than that before the intervention(P < 0.05);the comparison result of the scores in the control group were the same as the test group.(2)Between the two groups,compare the patients’ PAC-QOL scores in the two groups: the patients’ PAC-QOL scores in the test group were different than that of the control group after intervention(P <0.05).Conclusion: The addition of Shu Mu acupuncture point massage in patients with constipation after stroke treatment process helps in improving constipation symptoms and the improvement of quality of life after stroke,and Shu Mu acupuncture point massage method combined with auricular plaster therapy is a safe and effective,economical and practical combination,with important clinical application value,which is suitable for the popularization and application in clinical work. |
