In this paper, "A and/yet B", "A as well as B/not only A, but also B", "A and yet B", "A and B" are included in the category of "A and B". We have studied several aspects about this category of format:syllable combinations, grammatical combinations of A and B, grammatical natures of A and B, grammatical functions of this category of formats, semantic relation of A and B, the amount of every format in different style, syllable combinations in different styles, the grammatical functions in different styles.As to static level, these formats share some same points while also have some differences. Asymmetric syllable combination of this kind of format is given priority to symmetrical syllable combination in every format. The form of "two-syllable+ two-syllable" is the most important one in every format. As to asymmetric syllable combination, the form of "two-syllable+ four-syllable" is the most important one in every format. All above are the same aspects these four formats share, but they are different in some other aspects, such as the least combination of syllable in number in four formats are different.In terms of grammatical units of A and B, amount of the combination of A and B are the same grammatical unit is larger than that of A and B are different grammatical units in every format. Form "word+word" is the most important one in four formats, while each format has its own least important grammatical unit. Besides, these four formats have one more difference, that is only in "A and/yet B" the unit of "word+phrase" is more than that of "phrase+phrase "The amount of adjectival elements in every format is the largest. A and B in every format can only be adverbs, cannot be adverbial morpheme or phrases. And there are some differences among these four formats:first, only "A and/yet B" has the form of "adverb+adverb". Second, the form of "adjective+adverb" just doesn't appear in "A and B". Only "A and yet B" has forms of "verb+verb" and "verbal phrases+verbal phrases".From the grammatical function perspective, among subject, predicate and object, the most common grammatical function for this kind of format is being as the predicate. While among attributive, adverbial modifier and complement, being used as attributive is the most common. There are two main differences among these four formats:first, only "A and/yet B" can be subject. Second, only in "A and/yet B" examples of being subject exist.Speak of semantic relation between A and B, there are three main relations: coordinating relation, Progressive relation and adversative relation. When the relation between A and B is adversative relation, there is no example showing up in format "A and yet B", "A and B".These four formats all most commonly appear in political and literary style. In addition to "A and B", the other three formats all can appear in official document style.When talking about syllable combination of A and B in different styles, these four formats share some same points. First, symmetrical syllable combination are the most commonly used ones in four kinds of style. Second, the form of "monosyllable +monosyllable" is the most important one in the style of science and technology. Third, in every format, form of "two-syllable+ four syllable" is the most important asymmetric syllable combination. Difference among these four formats is that, asymmetric syllable combination in "A and/yet B" is commonly used in science and technology style, and in "A as well as B/not only A, but also B" is usually used in literary style, "A and yet B" usually appears in political style.No matter which syntactic constituent these formats be, they all rarely appear in official document style, while commonly appear in political and literary style. Differences among these formats are:"A as well as B/not only A, but also B" only appears in political style when being object, "A and B" only appears in literary style; The amount of "A as well as B/not only A, but also B" in literary style is larger than that in political style when being attributive, the other three formats instead; when being adverbial, only "A and yet B" can appear in official document style and only the amount of "A and B" in science and technology style is larger than that in political and literary style.
