Film Review Research In The Context Of New Media

Xiachao, the vice presendant of Chinese Federation, said the formation of the literary criticism has been highly affected by the development of new founded media. As the appearance of the grassroots critic, the new media platform such as douban, weibo has been chosen as the stage for literature fans to state their ideas, the traditional literary criticism is deeply chanlleged by the reform as shunt of the audience. facing the problem of the chanllege of the new media, traditional literary criticism has been isolated, traditional media has been weakening. how to find a way out for the Chinese film criticism under the brand new circumenstance has been the question thought by the most of the scholars.Under such circumstance,a film magzine,called “Watching Movies”,stands out as tougher one which struggles against the current upstreamingly when confronting the impact of new media.Finding out the shortage of the current film-critism,and the model for reference from “Watching Movies” are the main points of this paper.Chapter One is mainly the new media’s impact towards traditional journals,and the reason why it’s not possible that tradition media is gonna disappear.According to my humble opinion,the air-slaked power of new media is the crucial characteristic.Firstly,it dispels the mode of propagation through the new platform;secondly,it dispels the binary opposition of spreading and receiving;at last,it dispels authority.The challenge of the new media to traditional one includes three aspects:losing of readers,information property,ad market.Confronting such stressful situation,the reason why traditional media still exists are independant collecting and editing system,brand advantage,the depth and authority of its content.Chapter Two explores the topic of what revolution has taken place in the new media environment.The reforms are the transform of the position of film critism,the expansion of the function,the change of the receiver.Chapter Three figures out the dilemma of film critism,hysteresis quality and high theoretical property are tow fatal disadvantages;the straits of online film critism lie on the lackness of steering,depth and credibility.Where is the way out in face of such difficulties? “Watching Movies”gives us the answer.Rebuilding the spiritual quality of film critism,renewing the means of expression,keeping questing communication and creating measures are the suggestions given to us.In the fifth chapter, according to the sollution of last chapter, i, the author, made a brave prediction of the tendency about the combination of the traditional and the new media film criticism, which will lead to a wider, more comprehensive, more function realised critic environment.
