| Breathing is the source of life and the present of all things. Everything cannot be without breathing. Breathing is one of the indispensable elements in the dance art. Breathing in dance makes good use of “air”of life, which gives the feeling of air existence inside all body parts, which also makes “breathing”flow freely with the will, involve in the dance, achieving the physical and spiritual connective state. Breathing is closely connected with the performance. Breathing goes naturally in the moment of feeling to the depth. Emotion releases through the perfect combination of breathing and movement. These two elements are in interdependence. The expression of different emotions forms different dance breathing. Different rhthm of breathing expresses various of emotions. In pace with the expression of performance emotion and the transition of move power in different rhythm, breathing coordinates and unifies with move power and emotion. In the Mongolian Dance, people inhale in empty beat and weak beat, and exhale in heavy beat. The process of breathing rhythm accords with the characters of toughness, strength, forthrightness and tenacity, and also the image of calmness and dignity. Correct breathing presents dancer more physical strength, stretched moves, better performance, and it gives lives to the dance. |
