Although the use of idioms should follow certain language rules, in both spoken and written language do exist situations when idioms are unlimited by the rules. We call this linguistic phenomenon ?the unnormalized use of idioms?.A large amount of original phrases are created on the basis of unnormalized use of idioms, and they are reinvested with new expression and sentimental color. The unnormalized use of idioms is characterized by terse form, progound moral and beauty of rhyme. For instance, it can help effectively avoid stereotype in both lecture and productions.The language materials for former study on this issue came mainly from classical Russian literature, linguists rarely payed attention to new-media language. In this artical, however, we see the unnormalized use of idioms in Russian new-media language as the object of our study. In this artical we select 62 examples of the unnormalized use of idioms in Russian new-media and sum up four main types of the unnormalized use of Russian idioms—idioms used in unconventional form, idioms used in unconventional meaning, the mixed use of different idioms and the creation of new idioms derived from existing idioms.Nowadays, new-media language present a tendency of canival development, and this tendency, first of all, is reflected in lexical and idiomatic system of a language. Unnormalized use of Russian idioms in new-media can help the speaker constrain the context with the aid of contextual strategy. In this article the auther interpret the pragmatic functions of the unnormalized use of Russian idioms in three primary aspects—lexcial abnormality, grammatical abnormality and semantic abnormality.
