Words and expressions,as the most basic of the cross cultural communication language building materials,its importance is self-evident.And then,color words are one kind of words with high frequency and special use.In this paper,a Chinese English Dictionary of authority,the HSK dynamic composition corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University,and the foreign language teaching materials at different levels are used as the source of material selection.And in turn the use the method of comparative analysis to study the part of speech,the use of “红”and“red”and cultural connotation;Take United States students as the research object,using the data collection method and error analysis method,through the "character" and "word" and "string" three retrieval methods for HSK dynamic composition corpus students about "red" use of summary of error messages,and summarize the types of errors;Use textbooks analysis method,and combined with the present syllabus of the color words teaching requirements,at all levels in the textbook "red" arrangement and teaching Chinese as a foreign language teacher’s teaching experience,described the color word "red" in teaching Chinese as a foreign language teaching situation.This article will be from the perspective of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,highlighting the need for the preparation of teaching materials in the primary,intermediate and advanced stages,and the feasibility of according to the different learning basis of foreign students to carry out teaching work,according to the different learning stages and learning objectives to determine the different color words teaching focus,depth and breadth.Put forward using associative comparison,multimedia teaching and a variety of auxiliary teaching means,improve the degree of attention on the cultural connotation of color words and teaching students in accordance of their aptitude in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.This paper will play a guiding role in the preparation of the Chinese language as a second language,as well as the color words in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
