According the sages of Europe and Ancient China, moral self-image which played an important role in regulating the virtue of a man, was essential to a person’s existence. Some academics proposed that, in a particular moral situation, the awakening of one’s moral-self is one of the most important factors influencing his implementation moral behavior. In present study we induced two different moral self-image states of positive and negative moral self-image. Experiment 1 which is a 3 moral self-image (positive, negative, control)×2 moral judgment (oneself, other), was designed to test the effect of the above moral self-image on the separation effect of moral judgment standard of oneself and others. The results show that the interaction of moral judgment and moral self-image is significant. Subjects of negative moral self-image state score their moral significantly higher than those of control group and the positive group on the moral judgment of oneself level. Experiment 2 was designed just like experiment 1 except one single thing that the attribution of ethical decision making by subjects on the moral self-image priming task was experimentally manipulated as external attribution before moral judgment. Individuals of positive and negative moral self-image showed the same tendency of cognitive decision making by score high moral both for oneself and others because of external attribution. Besides the effect showed in experiment 1 was gone.
