| Content:Haruki Murakami(1949-),Hear the Wind Sing is the first novel by him. It first appeared in the June 1979 issue of Gunzo (one of the most influential literary magazines in Japan). Murakami’s initial success with Hear the Wind Sing encouraged him to continue writing. A year later, he published a sequel, Pinball,1973. In 1982, he published A Wild Sheep Chase, a critical success. From then, Murakami wrote Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World, Norwegian Wood, The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle and Kafka on the Shore etc. His novel with its unique peculiarity attracted numerous readers all over the world.Western flavour is extremely strong is one of the main characteristics in Haruki Murakami’s novels, so his fictions are completely different from traditional Japanese novels. The main reason of the strong western flavor in his novels is his comprehensive acceptance of the western literature and culture, especially the modern American literature and culture as his favorite, and Haruki Murakami all sidely imitate western literature and culture in his production process is to adopt the strategy of intertextuality.This paper attempts with the aid of intertextuality theory to research Haruki Murakami is how to utilize and imitate western literature, and breaks the traditional research of influence single mode, change the former point-to-point study mode of one writer to one writer and one work to one work, because this mode contains speculation and uncertainty. This paper adopts method of empirical study, which is a reticular relationship of writer to writers and work to numerous works. The paper contains six aspects:The introduction part introduces the Haruki Murakami’s creating experience, the present research situation both in China and abroad about Haruki Murakami’s novel and Haruki Murakami’s novel study category and trend.The first chapter analyses the definition of intertextuality. First of all, from four aspects to compare the influence research and intertextuality research. Second, introduce the definition of intertextuality in the west and China from two sides. At the last, explored the possibility of combination of two different definitions.The second chapter starting from the intertextuality performance in the modernistic literature, discussing the Haruki Murakami’s maiden work Hear the Wind Sing from two sides. Secondly, analyzed the phenomenon of the repeated use of characters and themes in "youth trilogy", the relationship of circulation, repetition and intertextuality. Finally, find the hidden intertextuality clues in the works and find out the origin of "double contrast narrative "and "lost-find " pattern.The third chapter probes the intertextuality strategy of " make translation do help for writing", respectively from the novel’s title, codes, content.Analysis of Haruki Murakami is how to help his creation through translation work.
