Huang Tieshan is a famous Chinese watercolor artist,his watercolor painting style: rigorous,water and color blend,fresh and bright,elegant and lyrical.His watercolor painting contains the love of mankind and nature,the fascination with the beauty of the blend of water and unpredictable expression,the pursuit of deeper ideological connotation and mood.His style is based on Western painting,with traditional ink as a reference,in order to retain the lush of the original,and absorb the nutrition of the traditional Chinese culture.His unique and distinctive style was a result of perennial externalized of internal quality.This paper analyzes the art works of Huang Tieshan’s water painting from four aspects: first,summarizes the use of spatial layering,and the handling of main and inferior objects in his works;secondly,analyzes the rich emotional expressed in his works;thirdly,analyzes the ideal and poetic implication in his works;Fourth,summed up his brushworks and characteristics of his artistic conception.The result is a more comprehensive analysis of his watercolor language features.
