| This paper consists of five parts,which mainly aim at solving the following problems.In the first part,the author would explore the influence of Shixing Guo’s personal life track and life experience on his script creation.The content involves three aspects: Shixing Guo was born in a Chinese ‘chess family’ and he accepted the interest of flowers,birds,fishes and insects since young.He changed his identity from a drama enthusiast to a drama practitioner.And then he put his spiritual experience of Lao Tzu and Chuang Tzu on the script creation.Guo’s rich experience finally provided infinite possibilities to his script creation.By exploring the life track of the dramatist,the drama idea and contents of Guo will be deeply understood.From the second part to the fifth part,the drama scripts written by Guo are selected as the main research objects.By comprehensively sorting out Guo’s drama scripts,the language features,characters and theme of his scripts are discussed.The position of Guo’s drama creation will be set and his unique cultural and writing characteristics will be sought,by comparison with some other Jing School dramatists.In the second part,the author mainly discusses language features of Guo’s drama and pays attention to the use of ‘irrelevant words’ in his script.The language innovation is obvious in Guo’s scripts,which is both vulgar and elegant,serious and humorous.He is skillful at the use of Chinese ancient poetries,classical Chinese,tongue twister,allegories,slangs,professional terminologies and two-part allegorical sayings.The contents of his works is local,interesting,metaphorical and symbolic.The third part mainly focuses on the characters analysis in Guo’s drama.The characters in his drama are always alienated and marginal,which can be divided into three categories,that is alienated by others,objects and themselves.In addition,the cohesion of symbolic characters and irrelevant identities in Guo’s scripts is discussed in this paper.The fourth part investigates the multiple themes of Guo’s drama.The themes of Guo’s drama are inducted as three levels: daily absurd life,the ritual theme of life in an informal way,and the ‘human’s survival from the view of paradox.The Beijing-style drama and Guo’s drama are compared and studied in the fifth part.By comparing Guo with other Beijing-style dramatists,his individuality will be discovered from similarities,and his unique writing and artistic style will be sought.Some of Guo’s works are of Beijing-style and beyond the regional constraints.They pay close attention to the penetration from outer ‘environment’ to inner ‘situation’.Different from showing the postures of various people in Beijing-style drama,Guo emphasizes on the discovery of personal issues and the explanation of individual sensibility.He also fills the forbidding observations and examinations into the humor shared with Beijing-style drama.He is concerned about the common situation encountered by mankind,and discusses the common problems for mankind. |
