The Preface To Poetry And The Literary Criticism In Western Han Dynasty

Shi Daxu(the major preface to the book of songs) is the earliest Confucian poetics thesis, which involves many theoretical problems such as artistic ontology,artistic system, artistic creation and the relationship between literature and society,which shows the richness and completeness of its theory. Confocian Poetics is the logical starting point of Daxu, and from which Daxu inheriting the thought of rule of courtesy and education ,Daxu also absorbed Zisi’s onfucianism temperament theory in the Warring States Period, which marked the emotions and poetic education,set the per-Qin confucianism poetics of the culmination of the study. The theory of Daxu directly inspired Xunzi’s poetics at the end of the Warring States Period. He fragmented the system of Daxu poetics,took education as the core of poetics. And when it comes to XiHan Dynasty, history became the era of Confucian classics, Daxu as a poetics text is gradually becoming a sample of Confucian classics which Including the classic and readability. The education has been regarded by XiHan Dynasty poetics as golden role. XiHan Dynasty literary criticism took "Beautiful Thorn" of Daxu as an effective means of literature into reality. It can be said that the"education" spirit of Daxu have guided the construction of the theory of literary criticism in the XiHan Dynasty including the criticism of the four schools poems,the criticism of ci fu and the criticism of Si maqian’s historical Prose.
