In the process of learning Bel canto, the division of parts is very important. It can be roughly divided into soprano,mezzo-soprano,tenor and baritone.Baritone, according to the singer’s voice and such factors as the cavity, can be subdivided into lyric baritone, dramatic baritone, verdi baritone and other categories. As a lyric baritone student,in the process of learning vocal music he may have some misunderstandings about baritone, thinking that the voice should be thick, loud and deep.As a consequence, the student tries to fake up a voice during practice, which is not authentic baritone voice and could bring damage to the student’s vocal cord.Deo art songs as the vocal music teaching materials are of great help to this problem for lyric baritone because Deo art songs have great connotation and melody. To sing these songs,no dramatic voice is needed but instead one has to calm down and be careful with what needs to be expressed. They are unlike aria and opera which require full passion. For lyric baritone,it is very helpful. In this paper, the author uses two pieces from Schubert Winterreise as example to solve the potential problems lyric baritone may have during practice.
