Simone de Beauvoir is a famous existentialist philosopher of France in the twentieth century. Her body aesthetics is an important part of Western body aesthetics. In her book "The Second Sex",Beauvoir,on the one hand, negatively describes the female body, believing that the "body is a situation" : not only a "trouble" or a "the other";on the other hand The female body was positively affirmed, that the female "body is the subject of radiation light" is "to understand and grasp the tools of the world",with the possibility of independence and reality.Beauvoir on the female body of these two aspects of the existence of internal tension, showing a certain contradiction. This contradiction in Beauvoir herself as a concept and reality of the cracks. In the case of Beauvoir herself, she rejects the female body as an "object" or "the other" and pursues the autonomy of female, but in reality she is in a passive position and does not fully realize the desired goal. The reason is that Beauvoir’s body aesthetics is based on the existentialist philosophy.Existentialist philosophy emphasizes only the liberation of the female body in the ideological concept, and not as Marxism emphasizes through social practice to change the system, law, etc.completely liberation of the female body.Of course,Beauvoir was also aware of the existence of this.Unfortunately, she eventually did not achieve the transition from existentialist philosophy to Marxist philosophy.
