Kazuo Ishiguro is one of the famous contemporary British novelist,he and Naipaul,Salman Rushdie are saying as "Great immigrant writers of English Literature".As a Japanese-British writer,Kazuo Ishiguro has a distinct growth experience with other cross-cultural writers,he was accepted by orthodox British education,rarely influenced by Japanese culture.He was too young to go aboard,so he couldn't know more about his motherland,this also led his work less national characteristics than other cross-cultural writers.Therefore,compared with the later two writers,his work is hazy and fuzzy,show people suffering from trauma to the inner world with indistinct brushstrokes,contemplation of the major events bring harm of universality of ordinary people,so that made his work become an independent school in the literary world.This thesis will listed A Pale View of Hills,The Remains of The Day,Never Let Me Go,When We Were Orphans,An Artist of the Floating World as the research objects,to answer how Kazuo Ishiguro deal with “trauma”.This passage is divided into three parts-the introduction,the text and the conclusion,of which the body is dividedinto three chapters.The introduction mainly explains the significance of the study of Kazuo Ishiguro's works,as well as the research status at home and abroad and the purpose of writing this article.In the first chapter,I will focus on traumatic themes in Kazuo Ishiguro's writings: conflicts between the New and the Old and concerns on children trauma.Kazuo Ishiguro has boasted himself as "internationalism writer",he is trying to let the people who living in any cultural background are able to produce meaning in his writing.Therefore,I find the commonness of "trauma" in his works through analysis the individual text--the power class inflict pain on vulnerable groups,but the social value orientation is dominated by the vulnerable groups and it will become a weapon to stab the power class.In modern society,trauma is inevitable.In the second chapter,I will discuss the mainly writing strategies which Kazuo Ishiguro used to explore the "trauma".Traumatic realism shows the depth of trauma invasion,dig the rich inner world of the role;the symbol suggests that the transfer and spread of trauma.Based on these two kinds of writing techniques,Kazuo Ishiguro's novels are endowed with unique structure.The third chapter mainly discusses the aesthetic significance in Kazuo Ishiguro's "trauma" writing.His works are different from other immigrant writers as a strong national character,historical sense of participation,he always examine the human experience in the distance,but this does not affect the depth of his work.It is for this reason that his works show a hazy and vague,fresh and poetic beauty.In the conclusion part,according to the general view of Kazuo Ishiguro's works,he takes a look at the psychological trauma caused by the current world order to the general public.The traumatic realism let people travel freely between the past and the present,the fragments of staggered memories show the depth of human traumatic inner world,he also used a rustic style depicting the sensitive and reserved and constantly thinking about their past characters in his novels.Kazuo Ishiguro's "international writing" is a way of writing a completely different colonial writer after the other,he still did not give up the human warmth,as long as people face the past mistakes bravely,will be able to get salvation.
