In 1840 s,the British opened the door of China with the First Opium War,and Shanghai became the first batch of cities to open to the world.Western culture began to spread to Shanghai.In 1930,the Disney culture came to Shanghai with other western cultures.During the period of the republic of China,the Disney culture spread in Shanghai for over 20 years,and after the prosperity and turbulence of Shanghai,its communication process in Shanghai showed different characteristics in different stages.This complex process of development deserves to be explored and analyzed.As one of the countries that introduced the Disney culture earlier,China’s acceptance and integration of Disney culture presents Shanghai’s openness and inclusiveness,which reflected the good cultural character of the city.Therefore,the process of Shanghai’s active acceptance and integration of Disney culture deserves attention.In addition,the arrival of Disney culture has a certain impact on the urban culture of Shanghai,which is also a part that can not be ignored.Therefore,this article is based on the clarification of the process of the cross-cultural transmission of Disney culture in Shanghai during the period of the Republic of China,on the one hand,from the political environment of Shanghai,combing the characteristics of Disney spreading in Shanghai.On the other hand,the analysis of Shanghai Disney culture acceptance and learning process,mainly presents the positive interaction between Disney and Shanghai urban cultures.This article,taking Disney’s cross-cultural communication as the breakthrough point,comprehensively combs and analyzes the process of Disney’s cross cultural communication in Shanghai during the Republic of China,and explores the interaction between Shanghai and Disney culture.Firstly,we need to analyze the background of Disney’s spread into Shanghai in the 1930 s.On the one hand,this paper analyzes the social and cultural environment of Shanghai.on the other hand,this paper analyzes the characteristics of Disney culture itself.So this paper discusses the background from two aspects of subjective and objective aspects.The second is to analyze the cross-cultural communication process of Disney culture in Shanghai from1930 to 1949.Although only a short 20 years,Shanghai has experienced four different stages of the golden period,the island period,the fall period,the period of the liberation war,and the development of Disney itself has undergone many stages of change during the 20 years.By combing the materials of the newspapers and books inShanghai,and combining with Disney’s treatise,the author explores the different characteristics of Disney culture in Shanghai in different stages.Then this article mainly expounds the process of interaction between Disney and Shanghai after the introduction of Shanghai to Shanghai.This paper mainly analyzes the reflection and action of Shanghai native people to Disney culture from three angles of Shanghai media,Shanghai merchants and Shanghai film people,which embodies the good interaction between Shanghai culture and Disney culture in Shanghai.Finally,it expounds the influence of Disney culture on Shanghai’s urban culture.Disney culture is a kind of art with animation and comics as the main form.It has a natural attraction for children,so Disney culture has brought a new type of entertainment to children in Shanghai.Disney culture is also a representative cartoon culture.The arrival of Disney also plays a leading role in Shanghai’s cartoon culture.Finally,Disney is a kind of entertainment culture,but during the Anti-Japanese War and the War of Liberation,Disney elements were used to publicize.It embodies the Western elements in China’s political propaganda.
