With the formation and development of the strategic cooperative partnership between China and Russia,the number of Russian students studying Chinese has increased dramatically in recent years.The initial stage of oral Chinese teaching is an important period to help students establish the basis of speech and improve the ability of oral communication.However,on the other hand,there are still many problems in the teaching of oral Chinese in Russian.Therefore,this article identifies the topic of“Spoken Chinese for Foreign Students in Russia”.It conducts classroom observation and questionnaire surveys for elementary spoken English teachers and students.It also counts various problems in Russian oral Chinese teaching,such as excessive teacher error correction.Students’ voice accuracy is poor;Russian textbooks are inaccurately annotated.The reasons for the problems were analyzed,such as teachers’ excessive emphasis on phonetic normativeness;students’ influence on national psychology,personality and negative transfer of mother tongue;interpretation of new words from the context of texts and so on.Furthermore,corresponding suggestions were made for the preparation of teachers,students,and teaching materials,such as: grasping the timing of error correction;strengthening oral practice;and paying attention to the normativeness of Russian annotations.It is hoped that some information can be provided for oral English teachers and Russian students so that the initial stage of oral teaching can be more targeted.
