Figures of speech as the main part of Chinese rhetoric,has always been the emphasis and difficulty in teaching Chinese as a foreign language rhetoric.This paper selects a very representative frequently used figures of speech-metonymy rhetoric as the research object.BOYA Chinese has been used as the source of corpus,which is popular and widely used among international students.This paper deeply studies the relationship between metonymy rhetoric and teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and puts forward specific teaching strategies.This article mainly uses the literature review,statistic induction and example demonstration method to conduct a study.Summary and assimilate the opinion that the predecessors got in ontology research and rhetoric teaching achievements.According to the features of metonymy rhetoric,type and formation basis,refine the Chinese knowledge,analyses the implied cultural factors,provides the research direction for the later teaching research.This paper investigates the metonymy rhetoric teaching requirements in the teaching outline and the exam outline,concludes and analyzes the usage of metonymy rhetoric in the teaching material.According to the investigation results,analysis of the contact between the metonymy rhetoric and the teaching goal,teaching content and level of foreign students Chinese language,to confirm the necessity of metonymy rhetoric teaching,summarize the teaching direction of metonymy rhetoric.Finally,this paper investigates from four aspects,including the teaching objectives,teaching principles,teaching methods and teaching focus and difficult points to study.
