Attentional Bias Modification is a effective method to change negative attentional bias of depressive symptoms in individuals. We uesd Attentional Bias Modification to change negative attentional bias of depressive symptoms in undergraduates,in order to verify short effect and long effect of the Attention bias to depressive symptoms. At the same time,we also explore the potential effect of Attentional Control.Method:Beck Depression Inventory(BDI-II)was used to screen 104undergraduates who scored more than 13 points.According to the exclusion criteria,73 undergraduates were enrolled in the experiment. The 73 people were randomly assigned to the positive, neutral and control groups.Dot-probe Task was used for a four-week correction.Attentional Bias,Depressive Symptoms and Attentional Control were observed in pre-test,post-test,and after 3 months of follow-up.Results:1.The repeated measure anova of Attentional Bias indicatesthat there was a interaction between group and time(F(1,62)=2.58,p=0.047,?2=0.08).After modification, the attentional bias scores of neutral groupand positive group were negative, and there was a significant difference among groups(F=6.59,p=0.00).The reaults of t test between pre-test and post-test provedthat the attention bias of negative stimuli was significantly decreased in the positive group and the neutral group(t(20)=4.21,p=0.00;t(21)=3.30,p=0.00).2.The repeated measure anova of depressive symptoms indicates that the main effect of time was significant(F(1,62)=23.00,p=0.00,?~2=0.27).There is no interaction between the group and the time.Significant differences were found among the post-test of groups(F=4.20,p=0.02).The reauls of t test between pre-test and post-test proved that the attention bias of negativestimuli was significantly decreased in the positive group and the neutral group(t(20)=6.17,p=0.00;t(21)=3.88,p=0.00).3.There was no interaction between Attentional Bias and Attentional Control.Conclusions:1.Attentional Bias Modification plays an important role in modificating the negative attention.2.Depressed college students are relieved by their attention to correcting depressive symptoms.3.The effect of bias modification on negative bias and depressive symptoms is not lasting.4.Attention control does not play a regulatory role in the relationship between attention bias and depressive symptoms.
