Kunming City Social Welfare Institute "medical And Health Integration" Service Model Research

With the tendency of population aging, medical-pension service, a combination of traditional mode of pension and the care needs of the elderly, is an important ingredient which guarantees the basic rights of the elderly. Although this kind of service is nothing new abroad, it is until recent years that medical-pension service has received additional consideration by government and society in China. A series of regulations are issued to promote this new model. However, influenced by institution imperfection, fund insufficiency, service provision limitation and so on; It is far from satisfactory to meet the needs of the elderly. How to improve medical-pension service is a valuable research topic.This paper made an investigation on the current situation of medical-pension service in social welfare institute of Kumming, and analyzed existing problems and their causes. Based on experience, the thesis put forward some strategies to improve medical-pension service which include strengthening top-down design, increasing funds for medical care and nursing, constructing medical facilities and talents team of medical care, rehabilitation and nursing, and etc. This article also provided a reference for other state-run care institutions in China to improve medical-pension service.
