Benedict Anderson believes that modern nationalism in the pursuit of civil right politics,is the national identity of their political power.it requires the regime must be based on national consent, each person can be free and fair to express their interest demands and can be reflected in the government. In modern times, most countries are made up of ethnic groups, including the Soviet Union, which was a large multi-ethnic country, but only had existed in the world for 69 years.Although there were many problems in the disintegration of the Soviet Union in political and economic aspects, the ethnic issues also breakdown Soviet rule as edged epee.Among them, the conflict between the three nations of the Baltic Sea and the Russian nationality of the main body of the Soviet Union was the tip of the iceberg. The three Baltic States, namely Estonia,Latvia and Lithuania, were brought into the territory from the beginning of the Russian Empire, and the nationalist development of the three countries had always been linked with the resistance to Russian rule. However, the Soviet Union, the first socialist country established on the ruins of the Russian Empire, had not been able to properly deal with these ethnic problems, which led to the strong resistance to the Soviet regime. In Anderson's point of view, the national identity of regime of the Soviet regime was weak at stake, which as a reason to the collapse of the Soviet Union wave foreshadowed. Therefore, based on the development of nationalism,Baltic countries had been searched for independence for many years. As the starting point,I would combine the context of the Baltic region nationalism of the emergence and development and analyze the reasons, and finally discuss the profound influence of independent Baltic countries on the disintegration of the Soviet union. The main contents of this paper are as follows: firstly, the introduction describes why this topic is chosen, and the problem of ethnic conflict between the Russians and the Baltic States is brought forward through the long history of the Soviet nation. The first chapter expounds the relevant theories of the nation,Lenin's theory of national equality and Anderson's theory of "imagined community".The emergence and development of history and the conflict between the Baltic Sea and Russian nationalism has made the preliminary review, for the Soviet Baltic region of Haiti occurred frequently in ethnic violence and pave the way for an explanation. The second chapter to the third chapter show the bloodshed occurred in 1991,explaining the Baltic Sea region event results and reason analysis, and what the Soviet Union ignored the Baltic Sea region national interests is the main cause of ethnic conflict, and reform of the Gorbachev paradox that one disaster after another ethnic conflicts, the western capitalist world and the Soviet intervention of ethnic conflicts the Soviet Union national intensified, more serious problems. The last chapter is based on the above content is a reflection of the disintegration of the Soviet Union, the correct handling of ethnic problems on the legitimacy of the regime to a new way of thinking to deal with national problems in socialist countries, help us to correctly view the national problems, solve ethnic conflicts and maintain the national interests and emotions, safeguard national stability and prosperity.
