In 2005,the "Senior High School Mathematics Curriculum Standards Revision" topic report presented the six major core literacy,including mathematical modeling.In the context of the new curriculum,this study takes three different levels of high school in Qingdao as an example to investigate the mathematical modeling level of the first and second year students and the teaching status of teachers.In this paper,a questionnaire about mathematical modeling is designed for senior high school students.And an interview questionnaire about modeling teaching was designed for senior high school mathematics teachers.Using IBM SPSS Statistics 20 software,the statistical analysis of students' questionnaires is as follows.At present,the level of mathematics modeling of high school students is not high.Students understand the real situation,but can not extract a reasonable mathematical model.The level of mathematical modeling of key high school students is higher than that of ordinary high students.The level of mathematical modeling of grade two students is higher than that of grade one students.Students who have participated in specialized mathematical modeling courses have a higher level of mathematical modeling than those who have not participated in the course.The level of mathematical modeling of boys is higher than that of girls'.The level of students' mathematical modeling is positively related to their mathematical achievements.Through interviews with teachers,the following conclusions were found.At present,the teacher's own mathematical modeling knowledge is not enough.There is no better suitable teaching material for high school students to learn mathematical modeling.High school students mathematical modeling ability requirements of the standard is not clear enough.These problems affect the teaching of high school mathematical modeling.Finally,this study gives some specific recommendations.And this study presents a teaching design specifically for high school mathematics modeling of the first lesson.
