The Huogeqi copper polymetallic deposit is located in the Langshan district in the western segment of the Northern China Craton which is the largest copper-polymetallic deposit in Inner Monglia.The main orebearing rock is the hydrothermal sedimentary metamorphic silicalite and thick layer of argillaceous limestone in second formation of Langshan Group.Cu,Pb and Zn bodies distributed in simple layers,and lenticular,with basic unanimously occurrence of stratum,with the characteristics of synsedimentary construction.The banded quartzite of Huogeqi deposite outputs in layered and the the quartzite interbedded with sulphide.monomineral content ratio in Huogeqi is w(Fe)/w(Ti)>20?w(Al)/w(Al+Fe+Mn)<0.35,based on Bostron's(1983)study shows that the mineralized banded quartzite is hot water sedimentary genesis,with a small amount of terrigenous mixed.The B,F,Ba and Rb elements in mineralized banded quartzite enriched,with the characteristics of marine sediment.The 34S of metal sulfide ranges from-3.1 ‰ to 23.5‰,the average value of ? 34S ranges from 4.07‰to 17.78‰.The asymmetric unimodal distribution implying that the sulfur of metal sulfide is reducing sulfate in the sea.The total content of REE in the banded quartzite is clearly low and its distribution plots shows an enrichment of light REE and a depletion of heavy REE,and shows the featured positive Eu anomaly and Ce negative anomaly.The distribution curve shape of REE in mineralized banded quartzite is same as siliceous rock,derived that the reaction of the ore-bearing quartzite of marine sedimentary origin of siliceous,and the participation of hot brine sedimentation and volcanism in the formation process.Through the study on geological and geochemical characteristics of Huogeqi copper polymetallic deposit and banded quartzite,showing that the ore-bearing quartzite is a hot water flow sedimentary siliceous rocks,the quartzite occurred brittle and plastic shaped deformation to provide migration pathway and spaces for ore-bearing hydrothermal,formatted a dense cover to forming an environment conducive to the enrichment of hydrothermal.The study of the genesis of ore-bearing quartzite provides evidence from the side that the genesis of Huogeqi copper polymetallic deposit is exhalative sedimentation-metamorphism.
