Mt.Tymn gold deposit is located in the Adelaide River,Northern Territory,Australia,which formed in the Paleoproterozoic period.Deposit tectonically located in the Pine Creek Orogen.The Kimberley craton,West Australian craton and the North Australian craton collision formed the Orogen.Strong tectonic activity in the region.Primarily for the emplacement of the Cullen Supersuite,the NE-N W trending tectonic faults and folds zone.The Mt.Tymn gold deposit that is produced within the NNE trending folds belt.Gold deposit mineralization extends longer than 3000m,width more than 200m.Mineralization and ore mines located in the extending direction of the folds of the relevant.Mt.Tymn areas exposed strata comprise Cratonic sial sedimentary formation which formed from schizolysis of Archean basement,greywackes,tuff,and volcanic rock,carbonaceous rocks unconformilty on the Archean granite and metamorphic basement.Research areas develop fault structure,Mainly for NW trending faults;The fold control the morphology of the ridge;Region intrusive rocks and volcanic outcrop not seen.Mt.Tymn gold deposit areas within the ore bodies are mainly distributed in metamorphic sandstone,metamorphic siltstone,metapelites.Fold control the distribution of the ore bodies.Quartz veins can be divided into six types,gold occurs mainly along the fold hinge portion or wing development QV1 quartz veins.Gold grades up to 25.92g/t,ore body thickness>1m.The ore mainly formed interspersed structure,metasomatic texture,staggered vein structure and skeletal texture etc.The main country rock alteration of the Mt.Tymn gold deposit are silicification,chlorite,epidotization,muscovite,pyrite and carbonate etc.Metallogenic elements Au,As,Sb,Bi,W,Pb,Ag concentrations are different average degrees higher than the Crustal Clarke value.Pine Creek geochemical background values compared to the crust,enrichment of some elements(As.Sb?Bi?Mo?Cu?Pb?Zn),deficiency of some elements(Ag?Ni?Cr?Ti?V),and there is a great contrast,shows the elements in the process of hydrothermal activity or mineralization characteristics in and out.Wall rock and quartz veins have similar chemical properties of trace elements,Both behave as depletion of Ta,Nb,enrichment of Zr,Hf,HFSE(Th,U,Pb);The Mt.Tymn gold deposit's mineralization shortly after in the Paleoproterozoic Cullen granite batholith in place.About 1730Ma,genesis of the gold deposit is closely related in the in place of the Cullen batholith.Mt.Tymn gold deposit gold ore bodies mainly occur in the folds of the region weak nuclear tectonic zone.In fold hinge parts of the weak structure,ore-forming fluids is easy through the lot and precipitate the formation of rich gold ore bodies.The coarse-grained pyrite crystals or its skeleton are the symbol of mineral in the weak structure areas.
