The study area is located in the southwest of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Hulun Buir League eastern Zhalantun City Chaoer River area, belong to the the Daxinganling northern section of the southern main peak of the southeastern slope. The regional tectonic units belonging to the pre-mesozoic Paleo-Asian tectonic domain and the West Pacific tectonic domain since the Mesozoic.Chaoer river is the major river system in the region, from northwest to Southeast, cutting deep. The new tectonic movement of Chuo river of area is formed by The mountain uplift and Daheigou basalt eruption,It reveals that the Cenozoic tectonic in this area is clear and strong. The main feature is The vertical motion in different fault block uplift. The main form of the new tectonic movement in this area is quaternary volcano activity, the formation of active fault, river terrace and some ancient earthquake, hot springs. The new tectonic movement in this area also has a certain inheritance, newborn and difference. In this paper,Based on the study of Chaor regional neoteetonic, also analysis the sedimentary response of the new tectonic.Quaternary strata in the study area is Comparative developmental. This article conducted a detailed breakdown of the quaternary stratigraphy according to lithologic association characteristics, topography and causes type which observed in the wild. The article also do a preliminary study on evolution of the paleoclimates since pleistocene of study area.New tectonic movement and paleoclimate jointly controlled the deposition of the study area, but tectonic uplift is always a major factor in the control of deposition. The impact of climatic fluctuation to the sediment is overshadowed by the strong tectonic uplift, which is not very obvious.Based on the quaternary volcanic activity, terrace uplift and the distribution, thickness and lithological composition characteristics of quaternary sediments,The neotectonic evolution process of Chaor regional can be divided into four phases:early Pleistocene, middle Pleistocene,Late Pleistocene and Holocene. The vertical direction stress which formed by the mantle magma underplating and eruption promotes the crustal uplift of the study area,as well as provides power source for the neotectonic movement of the area, which may be the main reason to control the activities of the newly constructed.
