In terms of the Ordos basin of low porosity, low permeability, low abundance and large area distribution in the Upper Paleozoic, the distribution of gas reservoir rocks, the characteristics of migration and accumulation and the accumulation mode are comprehensively analyzed through the logging, testing data, combined with the latest theory of tectonic geology, sedimentary prtrology, petrophysics, natural gas geology, reservoir geology, accumulation geochemistry, fluid dynamics, accumulation dynamics, and the geology comprehensive analysis with modern experimental analysis technology, and we adopt the basic idea of the combination of current characteristics and historical analysis, static data and dynamic changes, thus we can conclude that the gas reservoir accumulation in the Upper Paleozoic of Ordos basin belongs to the continuous tight sand gas reservoir, and the prerequisite and material basis of gas reservoir is the relatively high hydrocarbon-generation intensity, which controls the distribution range of natural gas.In the individual gas reservoir and between different gas members, the high quality reservoir of strong heterogeneity and good physical property offers good condition for gas filling and keeping, and the relatively high direct cap rock in local ensures the ultimate formation of gas reservoir.
