Kendong is located in the southern of Bohai Bay basin,and is surrounded by hydrocarbon generation depression(Zhuangdong depression,Gunan-Fulin sag,Laizhou Bay depression and Qingdong depression,etc.)enclosed.The hydrocarbon is very rich and has good conditions of reservoir and seal,so the uplift is an important target region of Bohai Bay basin.Based on the geological,logging,seismic and mud logging data and former research results,from the analysis on the structural characteristics of the southern of Kendong area,taken advantage of the tectonic dynamic mechanism,this paper talks about the structural traits of the study area in Paleogene,such as structural framework,structural patterns,fault traits,basement uplift and structural trap,in the meantime,it studies its reservoir characteristics in terms of oil source,transport system,accumulation schema and the distribution of hydrocarbon,etc.,and then discusses the relationship between the structure and hydrocarbon accumulation of the research region.Through research and analysis,the main research results obtained at:(1)By the influence of Mesozoic sinistral strike-slip extrusion and Cenozoic dextral strike-slip tension and twist of regional Tanlu Tectonics,the faults of Kendong area are well developed.According to a cross-sectional shape,the southern of Kendong region includes planar normal faults and normal faults shovel;On the plane,the types of rank have parallel-type,echelon-type and side-type.The structural styles mainly include extension,strike-slip and strike-slip extension,etc.In the cross-section,structural styles mainly spade style,stepped style,horst-graben style,negative-flower style,"y"shaped structure and base uplift and the like.(2)By calculating extension coefficient of formation and fault growth index in the study area,as well as anylising the tectonic evolution through the technology of balanced cross-section,the paper thought tectonic activity was intense in Paleogene,gradually had been weakened since the Neogene.(3)By study on the Paleogene Reservoir,the oil sources mainly come from Laizhou Bay Depression and Qingdong Sag,accumulation since the end of major in Guantao.the faults,unconformity and communicating sand bodies in study area are well developed in Paleogene,and the three combined form the conduit system provides a"three-dimensional"migration path to the trap operation for oil and gas accumulation.(4)The southern of Kendong Area has great exploration potential,and the structure has a control action for each element of petroleum reservoir.Eight favorable exploration target area were found in Es4 and Es3,forecast exploration area of 15km~2.
