The most direct and effective method to study the seismic response and seismic damage mechanism is the seismic simulation shaking table test.The shaking table platform is an important part of the shaking table.The performance of the shaking table and the accuracy of the shaking table test will be directly affected by the dynamic performance of the platform.Suzhou University of Science and Technology is currently building a shaking table which owns three directions and six degrees of freedom.The size of it can be described as 8m times 6m.According to the actual project,this paper did a series of dynamic performance analysis on the shaking table platform.ABAQUS finite element modeling is carried out for the 8m × 6m three-way six-degree-of-freedom seismic shaking table platform of Suzhou University of Science and Technology.The equivalent load calculation is carried out for each of the most unfavorable load conditions.The shaking platform is simulated in each of the most unfavorable load conditions And the maximum stress value is compared with the yield strength of the platform material Q345 B.It is shown that the bearing stress distribution is reasonable and the bearing capacity under static load satisfies the requirement of use.According to the theory of thick plate dynamics,the minimum natural frequency of the platform is simulated.We carried out finite element simulation for the natural frequency and its formation of the platform by ABAQUS software.The rationality of the finite element model was verifies by the comparison of this two different results.By changing the geometric properties of the platform,several platform models were established to calculate and compare the way how the geometric properties affect the minimum natural frequency of the platform and the difference between the simulated and theoretical values.Based on the test method of the maximum dynamic performance curve of the shaking table,the dynamic performance test of the platform is simulated by ABAQUS software.Under different combination of the most unfavorable load conditions,the maximum dynamic performance curve of the shaking table was obtained.After comparing the simulated result with the test data provided by the shaking table manufacturers,we can verify the feasibility of the finite element model and prove that the dynamic performance of the platform is in accordance with the design performance.And this paper provides technical guidance for the design of shaking table platform.
