The Internet of things era has become the inevitable trend of the global information technology development, the society pays more and more attention to the Internet of things,so the research on the development ofthe Internet of things cannot be limited to the breakthrough of professional technology and other aspects. The author chooses the topic mainly on the basis of Langdon Winner's philosophy of technology, who is the contemporary American philosopher of technology. This paper studies the role of the independent role of the Internet of things, the political phenomenon brought by the development of the Internet of things, the resulting social predicament and the solutions in three ways.In this way,we hope that the human will face the development of the Internet of things technology, and then reduce the negative effects of the development of the Internet of things with the greatest strength. This paper begins with the introduction of Winner's philosophy of technology. His thought is divided into two core parts, one is the inherent logic of the independent development of technology, the other is the political value of technology. And the political point of view of technology is evolved by Winner from the basis of the independent development of technological.Winner put forward the two innovative concepts of "technology sleepwalking" and "technology drift",arguing that increasingly complex and specialized technological innovation is like sleepwalkers and drifters. On the long road of technological logical development, there is no total control of technology by individuals or societies, and there are many unknown and uncertain consequences; Then the concepts of "technical law" and "reverse adaptation" are extended.Winner believed that the application of modern technology requires social and even political institutions to specifically construct all the conditions for it to function properly, and that it has to be complied as a law. Moreover,on the basis of the independent development of technology, the attributes of means and ends will also change, and the purpose will be adapted to the compromise and transformation of technological means in order to promote the transformation of the whole social structure and human relations, which means that technology is not only a political phenomenon, but also a political life.On the basis of Winner's theory, combined with the current situation of the technology development of the Internet of things, this paper studies the autonomy and political nature of the technology.Through the research on the current situation of the Internet of things in Chapter 2,it has found that the Internet of things has brought a new shape to the human society, which has led to the transformation of human life, including the mode of production, the way of life and the way of thinking. Therefore,in Chapter 3 further combined Winner's thought, this paper analyzes and studies the transition from the autonomy play of "technology sleepwalking" and "technology drift","technology decree" and "reverse adaptation" to political nature during the development of Internet of things technology, that is,the external and internal political embodiment of the Internet of things. In order to improve the relationship between technology and society(especially politics),Winner put forward the idea of democratic control of technology in order to achieve good interaction. On this basis, the author analyzes the possibility of realizing popular participation and control in the development of Internet of things. Finally, through analyzing the more political-oriented dilemma brought about by the development of the Internet of things in many aspects of society, the author, seeks solutions to solve various difficulties.
