The genus of Baolia G.L.Chu only has a single species and belongs to the family Chenopodiaceae.Unlike other Chenopodiaceae plants, which are mostly found in arid saline-alkali lands,Baolia bracteata is found only in Gansu Diebu, where the climate is humid, surface water is abundant, and vegetation coverage is high.Chenopodiaceae is a large group of insects from the insect-like flowers to the wind-blown flowers, the division of the flower organs due to the degeneration of the flower organs has caused many misunderstandings in the morphological system classification.Because of the global distribution of this family, with certain limitations were existed in previous studies, there are still many controversies regarding the taxonomy of the Chenopodiaceae. In addition, there is considerable controversy due to the confined distribution of Baolia bracteata, the research on the systematic location of the genus only by the morphological date. This study is to explore the systematic position of the genus in the case that there is still considerable controversy in the classification of the family. Therefore, based on the new classification system of Chenopodiaceae proposed by Zhu Gulin,we selected the representative genera and species of each subfamily of Chenopodiaceae and used the molecular systematic approach based on the sequence information of rbc L,mat K,and psb B-psb H to the phylogenetic relationship between Baolia bracteata and each subfamiliy of Chenopodiaceae. The results showed that there was a close relationship between Baolia bracteata and Corispermeoideae,Chenopodioideae,Atripliceoideae. In order to determine the classification position of the genus, and that time, the relationship of Corispermeoideae,Chenopodioideae, and Atripliceoideae were unclear,so the second part of the study, all the genus and as many species as possible of the above three subfamilies were selected.Based on the more rapid evolution of the nuclear gene ITS sequence and the chloroplast gene atp B-rbc L sequence. In addition, due to the fact that the genus had been classified as a genus of the Chenopoidieae(subfamily Chenopodioideae)and widely supported by scholars, the phylogenetic relationship of the Chenopodioideae are unclear. Therefore, this study also discusses the phylogeny of Chenopodioideae. The results are as follows:(1)A phylogeny was constructed based on the chloroplast genes rbc L,mat K,and psb B-psb H sequences respectively used the three menthes by selecting representatives and species of the Chenopodioideae. The results showed that based on the rbc L sequence and the psb B-psb H sequence using maximum likelihood method and maximum parsimony method, they were identified Baolia bracteata as the more primitive taxa of the Chenopodiaceae.Whether the phylogeny is still constructed based on the above two DNA sequences using the neighboring method,or based on the mat K sequence and more than 40 species of the three subfamilies that are closest relatives to each other are selected based on the faster evolution ITS and atp B-rbc L sequences The phylogeny all showed that the Baolia bracteata and the Corispermeoideae had a closer relationship, and they were in parallel clades with tribes in the Corispermeoideae,so the genus was classified as a tribe of the Corispermeoideae and recorded as the Baolieae G.L.Chu.(2)There are four tribes and almost all genus of them in the Chenopodioideae. The phylogenetic relationships of the Hablitizieae,Neobtrydieae, and Chemopodieae are clearly. But Phyllotheca parvifolia,Grayia spinosa,Zuckia arizonica and Holbergia tweedii in the Chenopodioideae are more closely to the various species of the Atripliceoideae, they are removed from the Chenopodioideae and belong to the Atripliceoideae, the Spinacia olerace of the Atripliceoideae is clustered together to Chenopodioideae,so classified it to the Chenopodioideae. In addition, since Axyris prostrata,Krascheninnikovia ceratoides,Krascheninnikovia lanata(belong to Atripliceoideae or Corispermeoideae)are more closely related to the Chenopodioideae,so suggest it to Chenopodioideae.
