Vehicle-mounted laser scanning technology has become one of the most important means of geospatial data acquisition with its advantages of fast and efficient.Due to the high cost of equipment,large amount of data and low accuracy,the application of vehicle-mounted laser scanning technology has been greatly restricted.This paper embarks from the precision problem of Vehicle-mounted laser scanning system,relies on vehicular laser scanning system which was independent developed by me and my team,and also on the summary analysis of the current vehicle calibration methods and its advantages and disadvantages of laser scanning system,through analysis the error source in the integration and data preprocessing of the system,a new high precision integrated calibration method for Vehicle-mounted laser scanning system is proposed:first step is to correct the time error of the raw scan data and position error of inertial navigation system,and then use a special target to calibrate the whole error of the Vehiclemounted laser scanning system.The main research contents of this paper are briefly described as follows:(1)This paper analyzes the background and significance of Vehicle-mounted laser scanning technology.It also analysis the advantages and disadvantages of the calibration method to determine the research direction and target.(2)This paper introduces the integration and positioning principle of the Vehicle-mounted laser scanning system,and also introduce the coordinate systems and related transformations in the process of system integration to ascertain the key technologies of system integration.Based on analysis the system integration principle and the principle of data preprocessing,the main error sources are analyzed.(3)Through analysis the detailed of the trajectory error,the error correcting method is put forward,and on this basis,use a special target to calibrate the whole error of the Vehiclemounted laser scanning system.(4)The program of data preprocessor of system was designed and through the designed experiment,the validity of the algorithm was verified.In summary,this paper analysis the error source in the process of the system integration and data preprocessing which was independent researched and developed by our school.Based on the correction of trajectory position error and trajectory attitude error,the overall error of the system is calibrated.Then design experiment,using the check field established by oneself to realize the high precision calibration algorithm of the system.Through analysis the absolute and relative precision of the system,the algorithm is verified.In this paper,the research of calibrate the Vehicle-mounted laser scanning system has effectively improved the accuracy of the system and expanded the application field.
