A Preliminary Study Of Botanical Natural History

Dealing with natural subjects,Natural History used to have a long period of golden time,and then gradually declined as western mathematical science rapidly developed.However,Natural Science,after raised for less than two hundred years,had revealed its limitation and agnosticism and induced scientific crisis,furthermore caused increasing conflicts between human being and nature.In such a background,revival of Natural History would not only cover up the shortages of reductionism-based modern science,but also mitigate conflicts between human and nature through Natural History based activities and research.Botanical Natural History is a crucial part of natural history subject,but only with rare amount of studies.Therefore,research on Botanical Natural History had become particularly important and urgent for developing modern Natural History.This article summarizes the relationship between the New Natural Sciences and modern science.Based on this,it proposes the concept of the branch of Natural Sciences,which is the combination of Botanical Natural History(a combination of Modern Science and Botany):Botanical Natural History is a discipline that observes,describes,classifies,and sorts plant phenomena encountered by people in practice and reveals their intrinsic connections.It also discusses the status and research value of plant biology in different points.This paper discusses the methodology of plant history research.Through integrating materials from botany textbooks and literature,the author established an outline for entry level field observation and popular science writing of botanical natural history.In the outline of guideline,the artical utilized two-dimensional rating and classification method to classify knowledge points,which facilitated users to conduct field work.Moreover,a three-step methodology:field observation,literature research and paper writing,was developed for modern botanical natural history investigation through collecting and analyzing a large amount of documents and field trips.In addition,on the basis of the comprehensive extraction and botany related disciplines,several important research methods of plant biology are summed up:literature method,observation method,experiment method,interview method,etc.,which provide guidance for the follow-up study of plant natural science.In addition,on the basis of the comprehensive extraction and botany related disciplines,several important research methods of Botanical Natural History are summed up:literature method,observation method,experiment method,interview method,etc.,which provide guidance for the follow-up study of Botanical Natural History.This artical illustrated practicality of this method via examples and provided directions for future research on botanical natural history.
