At present,although inclination rectification method is extensively used in actual projects,the study of working mechanism is not yet enough.The study of plastic zone of soil in inclination rectification lack deep and systematic analysis,which will cause adverse effects on security in the deviation rectification course.Our solution to the problem of cylindrical cavity expansion is to make an elastic and plastic analysis based on Mohr-Coulomb criteria and theory of cylindrical cavities three factors(including cavity diameter ? upper load and the relationship between cavity spacing and cavity diameter when plastic zone through)which affect the scope of plastic zone are analyzed.Results of models are verified by the formula derived from the cavity expansion theory.The main work and result are summarized as follows:(1)Some relevant literature researches and engineering projects on rectifying are studied.Thus,the domestic and foreign research results are summarized.The experimental data of practical projects are analyzed and the principles of cavity expansion theory are depicted.(2)Taking one cavity as an example,using MIDAS to get curve of surface settlement and plastic zone area based on the elastic-plastic theory.Numerical results are compared with the formula derived from the cavity expansion theory.(3)The influences of the cavity diameter,applying load and the spacing distance of the cavities on the plastic zone are studied.It is obvious that with the change of cavity diameter,the radius of plastic zone of silt increased and the scope of plastic zone also changed from round to oval.The applying load has no effect on the scope of the plastic zone.The spacing distance of the cavities is about 2.5-3 times the radius of cavity.(4)A inclination rectification project of a 11 story of residential building in Jiang su province is adopted here.The surface settlement and the relationship between cavity spacing and cavity diameter when plastic zone penetrate is studied and verified.
