The seismic exploration process mainly includes the three stages of data collection,processing,and interpretation.Seismic forward modeling is a numerical simulation method for studying the distribution of seismic wave field under the assumption of subsurface geological model.Therefore,seismic forwards can be applied in all three aspects of seismic exploration.It can provide theoretical basis and accurate assessment methods for these three links.The rationality of the acquisition design,the reliability of the processing and interpretation of the results,and the correctness of the inversion method and result can all be verified by the forward seismic simulation.Forward modeling plays a very important role in seismic exploration and is one of the indispensable important technologies in seismic exploration methods.The forward modeling is an organic link between the geological model and the seismic response,making the seismic reflection features have a clear geophysical and geological significance.Through forward modeling,the kinematics and dynamics of seismic waves propagated in complex media can be understood more clearly,and the wavefield characteristics of reflected seismic waves can be accurately analyzed.Forward modeling of geological models based on actual data can increase people's understanding of underground geologic bodies and provide us with certain laws to provide certain solutions for practical geological problems.Underground complex geological conditions make seismic reflection characteristics of underground geological bodies in actual seismic data complex and difficult to identify correctly.At this point,seismic forward modeling can play its role.Seismic forward modeling is an effective method to correctly understand the propagation mechanism,laws and wave field characteristics of seismic waves under complex conditions.Forward modeling study can well understand the propagation law of seismic waves to establish seismic response recognition models for different geological bodies.It can also use reflection seismic features to directly predict certain targets.In order to avoid multiple solutions in the interpretation process,seismic data interpretation is improved.The accuracy increases hidden exploration success rate.This paper first reviewed the development history and research status of forward modeling methods,and reviewed the theory of wave equation forward modeling in detail.Through the comparison and analysis of the wave equation seismic forward method and the commonly used seismic forward software,the software development idea of human-computer interaction seismic forward simulation system is determined.Based on VS environment,using C# to develop user interface,using C++ to achieve calculation and mapping,and using the staggered grid finite difference to achieve the seismic two-dimensional forward system of the basic algorithm and software.The preliminary application of method software was carried out in combination with actual seismic data in Bohai Sea.
