Shale gas is a relatively new type of clean energy, and its exploitation and utilization are increasingly gaining world interest.Compared with conventional natural gas reservoirs, shale gas bed is characterized by low porosity, compactness, and low permeability.Because shale is not only a reservoir but also a hydrocarbon layer with a relatively large area and a stable air flow, all these feature make it difficult to be obtained. In order to achieve a stable air flow, manual modification is needed.Fracturing is a process that must be reformed in the process of obtaining commercial gas flow.Only fracturing and reforming can achieve high efficiency exploration and development.According to the available data, rock brittleness is an important reference for predicting the evaluation of shale gas compressibility and sweet spot, and is a fundamental parameter for evaluation of reservoirs. In order to achieve a stable industrial gas flow and a high efficiency exploration and development, effective fracturing measures shall be taken.According to the data available, rock brittleness is not only an important reference data to predict the evaluation of shale gas compressibility and sweet pots, but also an important indicator for reservoir evaluation. At the same time,it is necessary to understand the brittleness of rocks when assessing rock drillability and predicting wellbore stability. Therefore, rock brittleness research work has attracted more and more interest from domestic and foreign technology practitioners and related researchers. It is also very active in its exploration.Although there are many methods for assessing the brittleness of shale, many methods for assessing rock brittleness have been developed so far, there is no consensus in the industry by now.In this paper, based on the investigation of the existing brittle evaluation methods,a shale group from a certain area in Sichuan is taken as the research object, and the commonly used rock brittleness evaluation method is compared and analyzed. With a full understanding of the Zoeppritz equation and its similar expressions and a comprehensive analysis of seismic exploration in which some possible problems which will lead to some inaccuracy in the process of brittleness evaluation can not be avoided,i established a new method to predict the brittleness of the rock.
