Lakes are an important part of the natural environment. They are sensitive to changes in the environment and human activities and can reliably record past environmental changes and human activities in various lake areas. The study of changes in lakes in historical periods is an important way to understand environmental changes and human activities in historical periods. The historical development of the Xiaoshao region was relatively early. There are numerous documents concerning the records of lakes, especially since the Tang and Song dynasties, the geography works and local history of the Xiaoshao region have emerged in an endless stream. This has provided abundant documentation for the study of lake evolution in the historical period of the region.Based on the rich historical data of Xiaoshao region, this paper constructed the historical process of lake changes under the interaction between human activities and the natural environment in this area, and analyzed the influencing factors of lake changes.According to the results of the study:(1)The pre-Qin period was the natural stage of lake formation in the Xiaoshao area. The receding of the coastline created the conditions for the emergence of lakes in the Xiaoshao plain. The lake first appeared in the foothills, and with the further retreat of the shoreline the lake gradually moved towards the northern plain;during the Han and Tang dynasties, the mountains The construction of Wuhu Pond has made some lagoons and swamps lakes, and the area of lakes has expanded, forming lake water conservancy systems with the main areas of Huiyong Lake,Jianhu Lake, and Xiaqi Lake.People's large-scale transformation and utilization of lakes has gradually begun.Since the late Tang Dynasty, the lakes have entered the decadent stage.During the Song and Yuan Dynasties, the struggle for the abolition of the lakes was fierce. The lakes in the Ming and Qing Dynasties accelerated their decadence. Now most of the lakes in the Xiaoshao region have disappeared during the historical period, and some of the remaining lakes gradually River network.(2)The influencing factors of changes in lakes are diverse, and they are the result of factors such as changes in the natural environment and human activities. This paper analyzes the causes of lake changes from climate background, droughts and floods, soil and water loss, population, and river diversion, and draws preliminary conclusions:?In terms of climate:During the relatively warm climate of the Han and Tang dynasties, the lakes showed a clear expansion trend;during the Song and Yuan Dynasties, the climate fluctuated violently, and the lakes also retired frequently;during the Ming and Qing dynasties the climate turned cold, the lakes accelerated decadence, and the climate warm and cold fluctuates. The shrinkage of lakes shows a clear corresponding relationship, indicating that the impact of climate change on the evolution of lakes is fundamental and determines the basic trend of lake evolution.?Large amounts of lake waste and reclamation periods are also drought-prone;periods of humid weather and frequent floods indicate that water conservancy is being built, and there are more waste lands and lakes.?Soil and water loss gradually became serious after the Wei and Jin Dynasties. The Jiangyinsha deposit in Puyang was an important cause of the depletion of lakes such as Linpu and Yupu.During the Northern Song Dynasty,Jianhu was reclaimed due to shallow lakes.?The increase in population is an important cause of lake reclamation, especially since the sharp increase in population since the Song Dynasty made the contradiction between man and land sharp, and the lakes were heavily fenced.? The diversion of rivers and the construction of seawalls have significant effects on the evolution of lakes.Inflow of rivers expands the lakes, whereas the lake shrinks. The construction of seawalls allows some lagoon lakes to be directly converted into freshwater lakes, and the area of lakes is expanding.(3)Since the Song Dynasty, lake changes have been continuously disappearing.Nowadays, there are no larger lakes in the Xiaoshao area, and there are signs of insufficient water.Strengthening the protection of existing lakes is the focus of lake management in the future.Protecting the lake is not only to protect the ecological environment, but also to inherit the water culture of the Xiaoshao region.Lakes and rivers as well as artificial water resources are linked to each other to form a complete water conservancy ecosystem. The transformation and utilization of lakes must be coordinated with other natural and human factors to make overall plans and take into consideration advantages and disadvantages.
