Plasma, also known as the fourth state of matter,is widely used in practice in production and life.Plasma antenna has received great attention due to its own stealth characteristics,anti-jamming capability, dynamic reconfigurability,high-speed switching characteristics, and compact structure. In this paper, simulation software is used to study the radiation characteristics of the half-wave plasma antenna and its array. The main contents are as follows:(1)Based on a thorough understanding of the basic concepts and properties of plasma, the research status and trends of plasma antenna related work at home and abroad are summarized;basic numerical analysis methods and simulation software for electromagnetic fields and electromagnetic waves are introduced.(2)The radiation characteristics of the antenna system combined with the half-wave plasma antenna, the eight-and sixteen-element plasma antenna array, the half-wave plasma antenna and the sixteen-element plasma antenna array are analyzed. The following results are obtained: 1 Under certain conditions, the plasma frequency has more influence on the radiation performance of the half-wave plasma antenna than the collision frequency;2)The radiation directions of the eight-element and sixteen-element plasma antenna arrays can pass Change the array antenna unit's own plasma parameters to achieve;3)In the antenna system of the combination of the half-wave plasma antenna and the sixteen-element plasma antenna array can control the working state of the antenna unit in the peripheral sixteen-element plasma antenna array The realization can realize that the radiation characteristics of the inner half-wave plasma antenna are converted from omnidirectional radiation to directional radiation, but this function is affected by the plasma frequency and the inner half-wave plasma of the antenna unit in the peripheral sixteen-element plasma antenna array.Frequency restrictions.(3)A two-dimensional axisymmetric plasma antenna model was established.Using simulation software, the influence of magnetic field and argon gas flow on the radiation characteristics of the plasma antenna was studied. The simulation results show that the external magnetic field can increase the electron density and energy of the plasma when there is an external magnetic field and no argon gas flow, but under the double action of the magnetic field and the electric field, the electron density near the cathode increases more than near the anode, and the plasma electron density increases. The spatial distribution curve is sharper, and the radiation range of the plasma antenna slightly increases but the directivity deteriorates.Under the same external magnetic field strength condition, the argon flow added through the convection effect makes the spatial distribution curve of the plasma electron density more and more balanced, and optimizes the radiation performance of the plasma antenna. This shows that the radiation performance of the plasma antenna can be improved to some extent by controlling the external magnetic field strength and the argon gas flow.
