Taking the second stage design slope of Qidashan Open-pit iron Mine as the research object,on the basis of analyzing the previous geologic data, using Maptek-8820 3D laser scanner to collect the scanned data of the upper plate slope rock body of Qidashan iron mine, and use its supporting software Maptek-Studio 5.1 establishes a three-dimensional surface model of the slope and extracts the structural surface information of the slope rock mass.By using the principle of fuzzy cluster analysis, the division of dominant Joint group of mixed rock and the probability distribution types and parameters of inclination and inclination angle are determined. The random distribution characteristics of Hoek-Brown deformation parameters m and s of rock mass are determined by the laboratory rock mechanics experiment, statistical analysis of existing rock physical and mechanical parameters,CSIR classification of rock mass and Monte-Calo random sampling technique. The stability calculation and reliability analysis of 1060,2200,2600 and 3250 section of Qi Dashan Iron Mine are carried out by using the slide software based on the theory of limit equilibrium. The results show that for the second stage total height slope with the depth of-450 meters, the minimum safety factor of four section is 1.400,more than 1.250 of the allowable safety coefficient, slope stability good;the maximum failure probability of random reliability analysis is 0,which is lower than the acceptable failure probability of the whole slope 0.5%,the minimum reliability indicator(normal distribution)is 3.755,which is greater than the reliability index limit of 2.573,the stability of the overall slope of the two phase of the design of the upper plate of the Qi Dashan iron mine is good.
