The ovaries are the reproductive organs of female animals. The aging or dysfunction of the ovary is an important factor leading to the decrease of female reproductive capacity.Telomerase can maintain telomere length and effectively prevent cell senescence.More and more evidence has recently shown that telomerase is associated with ovarian aging. The main purpose of my study is to analyze the role of telomerase in the aging of mouse ovary. The effects of telomerase catalyzed subunit Tert on fertility, ovarian morphological structure, granulosa cell senescence and the regulation target of telomerase in granulosa cells were mainly discussed in my experiment. The results showed that telomerase knockout significantly reduced the fertility of the mice and the amount of the ovarian follicle and the number of follicles during the development of the ovaries. After telomerase knockout,it aggravated the senescence of ovarian granulosa cells by regulating hormone secretion, hormone metabolism, and granulosa cell proliferation and senescence. To sum up,telomerase Tert regulates ovarian function mainly through influencing hormone metabolism, secretion, follicle reserve capacity, follicle development and granulosa cell proliferation and aging.
